I got the JR dragster 1 gal fuel cell as my water tank but after I started putting pieces together I notice that the outlet of the jabsco pump is 3/4 and the fuel cell is 1/4. The problem is that the the drastic reduction is hose size will cause back pressure and eventually straining the pump. The pump moves around 15gpm so I might have a problem here, those with the same set up what are you guys doing to remedy the situation
jr fuel cell from summit

Jabsco pump

The smallest size I can get for the 3/4 opening is 5/8

Re: **A/W IC users Question for ya** (QuickA2)

You can always drill out the fuel cell and use larger sized -AN bulkhead unions w/ nylon washers so it doesnt leak. Something like -10 or -12 AN will be plenty big.

Get a summit mag and youll see what im talking about. If you need part #'s let me know and I can look some up for you.

We drilled and tapped my friends at one of the flats next to the drain c o c k 1/2NPT and put a barb in there. The top has two of the same flats and we drilled and tapped that 1/2NPT for the return.

The water puppy is only about 6GPM, but anyhow...
If you have the cell that has the big filler cap on it do as the other guy said. Get a fast flow -10 AN fuel sump fitting, and drill it out.
You may want to upgrade your cell to a bigger one anyhow before you get in too deep. I run a 5 gallon cell in the race car, and just half a dozen WOT passes turns 20lbs(3bags) of ice into lukewarm water.

VRQUICK has your answer. You can fit an entire 5lb bag of ice into that fuel cell, just slam the bag of ice on the ground a few times to break it up. I usually get about 2 passes before the ice needs replaced.

Man, that pump is HUGE! I have a much smaller one, and it's also a Jabsco. Has the same size fittings as I already have on my 4x6 PWR.

I just installed the water puppy on my car and I know it only flows 6gpm. It also uses 1/2 npt fittings and a 15amp fuse so I am not sure what pump that is. Looks like you are just going to have to drill out the cell and get new fittings to make the hoses work.

Part Number...... Description
