anyone know if you can use the door mechanism off an a3 on an a2? when you pull on a "locked" a3 door handle, it doesn't jam up like in an a2. i want to put in audi door handles and wanted to know if i can install a3 door catchers (is that what they're called?) on my a2....

I've heard (never tested) that you can use passat b3/b4/corrado handle internals in an a3 casing (since they all pull to open) and that it will work correctly (push down to open the door). Now that you mention this, i think that i will try it out soon, i would much rather have a set of jetta3 handles on my jetta 2. If not, i think that you can just convert to any of the above mentioned handles straight accross (b3/b3/corrado).

If you're very good at welding and body work yes, no problem probably take about a day per door. They wont just bolt on they're completely different in every way.

remember, i will be installing audi door handles. i'll look into the passat/corrado mechanisms...thanks,
