have a 98 gti and want to hook up rear fog light. i have a euro headlight switch and noticed when you pull it out twice its supposed to turn on a rear for light. then when i took out my gadge cluster there is a rear fog light spot with no bulb. i put a bulb in there and turned my euro fog light switch on and nothing happend. where is the rear euro fog light or what do i have to do to actually hook one up? or do i need euro tailights????

You need to re0wire your rear lights, and add a bulb into a socket thatis already back there....Here is the best Golf how to I have seen...

That page is one of the few that actually tells you the right way to do this. I did it on my car and it came out awesome. Good luck. Print it all out before you start.

That has got to be the most comprehensive set of instructions for the rear fog mod I have seen. Well thought out and I like the pics.

That web is so clear for what to do, I hooked mine yesterday with a friend. It was a easy job. But 96 does have a different wire position for the roofbreak light. Write to me if you need help.
