A4 20v. Did it ever come w/o a turbo?

I've got a question about an ital spec A4. I know its a 1.8 20v, what I was wondering is if it is turbo or not . Thanks.

The 1.8 20V has 125hp.

Right, 125hp and no turbo. Its a N/A engine.

If it's badged/listed as "1.8 20v", it's the naturally-aspirated version. You need a "T" somewhere for that turbo to be present. That engine was never an option here but I've read that the 1.8 is a real dog with no turbo. I can imagine 125hp in a car that heavy might be quite ridiculous, my 170hp A4 seems s l o o o o w as it is.

That's why it replaced with 2.0 20V 130hp in B6.

Thanks for the help. A friend of mine just picked up an A4 and wasn't sure if it was a turbo or not... Anyways I don't think you've seen a slow car until you drive an italian rental car, with sub liter displacement, crappy carb and a choke.The one car that I rented had 135s on it.I didn't think that tires that thin were legal.
