what exactlly makes the aba a aba what cars did they come in? and for blocks and heads what can i look for to make sure that it is the right one? #'s?

ABA was a swedish disco group in the.....oh wait....that's ABBA.
The ABA is a tall block 2.0 litre engine. The earlier Audi 2.0's were short bubble blocks(3A for 8v and 9A for the 16v). The ABA has a 159mm rod length. They came in the 93 and newer golf, jetta, gti's. I think the 3A had 144 mm rod length but I'm not sure.

A3 jetta 2.0L is the ABA<......That's what's under my belt.....good for around town....nothing like a 2.0 16V but it's fun!!!!
