I remember a couple of months ago there was a posting for a 4x100 to a 5x100???? adapter kit. If anyone has any information on this, it is greatly appreciated. The reason I am asking is because one of my rims has severe curb damage, and I don't want to buy just one rim, and I would like to upsize the 14 inch rims, but the newer VW rims are all 5 lug, so that is the route I have chosen. So any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Sorry dude no such animal. Try checking ECSTuning, they have hub replacements to go from 4x100-to-5x100. I'll warn yah, it's gonna be expensive!

if I remember right there is a company that makes one, but no one thinks it would be safe to run because two of the holes are too close together and would probably break after a while.. So YES, i do believe they have something like that, ijust wouldn't trust it http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif

That sucks. If it isn't that trusted then I don't want it. I don't want to sacrifice the ride for a set of rims. The conversion kit would be sweet, but like expressed earlier very expensive. Oh what I would give for a VR6 sometimes. Well I guess my new question is, does VW make rims bigger than 14 inch that are 4 lug. I wouldn't mind 15's, but I am aiming for 16's. why stuck on VW rims? theres some nice 4 lugs out there. unless its just prefrence.

You can get the adaptors but they're thick, so unless the offset is very high, it's not a good plan. ECS kit or good ol' fashion VR6 running gear is the best bet.

I don't know, just wanted to give it the full VW look. I will change my preference, and I don't really want another set of 14's. I think the 14's look a tad bit tiny. 15's don't look so bad, and 16's I think fit the car perfect. So if there are any suggestions I am open for idea's. I pretty much wanna keep my car looking stock. The only things added on the outside is blackened side markers, in the mail long blackened fogs, and gti front spoiler. My car is black too. I don't know, I was thinking about something gunmetal also for the rims, but I don't know how that would look. I wasn't sure if it would look to dark with the car. But whatever, I am just trying to decide, and any help would be awesome.
