Re: add-ons onto the alarm.... (Zuber Speed)

Do you have the stock radio? If so look at the schematic affixed to it. There is a wire marked ALM, thats your trigger wire. Get DEI sensors: shock, motion, etc. These sensors have power, ground and trigger wire. Ground and power you have to find in your under dash wiring, trigger I just told you were to find.

not sure about this, but i heard that if you add a shock sensor to your stock alarm and it goes off, it will continue to do so until your battery runs dry. something about it not knowing that it's supposed to stop or something. i remember reading that somewhere here, you may want to check in on that

Re: add-ons onto the alarm.... (The AuDUBot)

I did the install of the shock sensor with a friend of mine who works in a car electronics shop (stereo, alarms) as an installer. He was worried that the stock alarm didnt have a timeout. Well, at least in my 2001 GLX Jetta it does. The alarm will go off, after 30secs or so it resets and rearms.
