Hi, I have a 2018 Golf R Wagon. It’s got 19” Pretoria’s which I’m desperate not to damage on the crazy vertical gutters I park next to where I live. So I’m trying to wire in some 9 watt LED’s (one each side under the car behind the rear wheels) to light up the gutters so they are visible on dark and/or rainy nights. Would wiring them directly to the reverse lights work or will this upset the CANBUS or fuses? Alternatively I could get power from the 12volt socket in the rear and wire in a relay from either reverse light. I prefer the first option but am not sure if I’ll be causing more issues. Has anyone wired in additional reverse lights? Any help would be appreciated.
