Advantages of distribution block??

Does anyone know the advantages in having a distribution block? I have 2 amps, 1 for my subs, the other for rear deck speakers. The way it is set up now, the 2 amps are run together. 2nd amp run off of sub amp. If I get a distribution block, would there be any gain in power? Thanks!

No gain in power.Distribution blocks are just a convienient and tiddy way to split power cables.You can also use them for your grounds,the non-fused ones that is.
