I started this thread in case anybody else thinks to check out the Asian regional forum in reaction to the news of the earthquake and tsunami.
I'm quite far (about 6 hours SW) from Sendai, the largest city in which the epicenter was closest, in a rural suburb in an inland valley. My zip code is 441-1634 here in Shinshiro city if anybody wants to see exactly where that is.
I felt the earthquake almost exactly 24 hours ago in my house and posted a video on my YT channel shortly thereafter.
