Aftermarket Headunit Help (Ignition Wire)

861 Views 7 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  85mk2GTI
The car in question is a 1994 Jetta GLS

I just got an aftermarket HU and I got all the wires connected and everyhing except one. There are supposed to be two brown/red wires from the stock radio according to my diagram that connect into the new wires. One is for ignition and the other one is for one of the speakers. But I only have one brown/red stock wire which I connected one of the speakers to. Should there be another brown/red wire or can I just connect the one that I have for the ignition?

Would have been easier if you just bought a harness adapter

You do realize this is the MKIII forum, right? You'd have much better luck getting useful info from the MKII guys...
Can someone at least post up a diagram of the factory wiring?
