I have a 2002 GTI with the Monsoon system. I'm not a big stereo person, so I'd like to keep the stock speakers and amp. However, if I wanted to replace the head unit, what is necessary in terms of connectors, etc. to get it to patch into the exisiting amp/speakers?
Also, can anyone reccomend a full din that might also have map/gps as well?

from what I know an adapter hasn't been made for the new 2002 setup on VW's yet.
