driving down the road today and of course, the passenger side window fell off the track. i know vw extended the warranty to 7 years, but since its a 2001, produced in 2000, and its 2008, is that the 7 years. or 7 years after the factory warranty?

happened to my driver side last winter as well. some glass specialist came over and did it for 80 bucks with all the parts. ill give my dealer a call and see what they can do. would be awesome to still be under warranty. is there such thing of it falling off tracks without any of the tabs being broken?

idk ive never heard of it falling off track without breaking clips.
im sure, in theory, it would be easy to reset it if it were just off track. take your door panel off and take a look

called the dealer, said i should be covered till 09, but they cant get it in till monday because "no volkswagen guys are there today." He told me that he can't look at it because being that it's a 2001, it "more than likely" already has the new metal clips. So looks like illl be taking my door apart before work
