Air cooled VW people are the best people in the world

So I was leaving Atco Raceway yesterday after leaving the Punchbuggy show only to find a flat tire on my Karmann Ghia. I didn't have a spare or any tools or a jack with me. So I bought a can of fix a flat. It filled it up enough to drive a few miles...Everything was rolling fine until about halfway home when the tire blew out completely. This time fix a flat wouldn't fix it...No spares, no tools, sweating from the heat and no cellphone. We decided to go up to the first house we saw and ask for a hand or a phone or something. Wouldn't you know it, the first house we go to, the guy was a VW nut. He had an all original 79 Beetle convertible in his garage. He came out gave us a hand, let me borrow a spare tire to get home. We sat there and talked VWs for a while. Later that night, he somehow tracked us down and came over with his Beetle and we talked VWs some more.
VW people (especiall a/c ones) are the greatest in the world.

i totally agree it seems like if your in a jam there always there for you cause they may have been there once too!

You must be a helluva shrink. I never noticed a difference in people's attitudes if they have air conditioning or not.

I definatly have to agree. I live here in AZ and if you know anything of the place it is real hot here. Well we have an annual Aricooled event called the Jerome Jamboree and they have a hugh caravan that drives from the city on to the mining town it is held at. I can't tell you how many times I have seen people swaping engines to get them up and running. On the side of the freeway, IN AZ. I have also been helped myself by VW's passing by me as I am on the side of the freeway changing a clutch or acc. cable. Remember it's not a Car it's a Cult.
