Air Power Tour was in town and was offering rides on the B-29 Superfortress "FIFI".

My father will turn 82 in 2 weeks, he said he'd like to go for a ride. I was thinking ok, $200 -300 not a big deal.
Then I clicked on the pricing page and WOW !!!! $570 was the cheapest ticket and the most expensive was $1,595. :screwy:
We ended up driving and parking near the airport and watched it take of for it's final flight of the day.
I didn't get any pics, since I had loaned my 150-500mm lens to a friend.

Pops was ok with watching it take off.

Just saw this. Yeah, that's kinda steep. A number of years ago, we were thinking about a B-17 or B-25 ride, which back then would have been about $300-400. We were planning on taking my dad and my F-I-L. A few years before that, we took them both up in a Ford Tri-Motor for Father's Day, and it was a lot of fun. We never could get the schedules to work out, and the opportunity just slipped by.
