was test driving a jetta wagon and noticed that "airbag" was printed up near the top seatbelt hoist for the rear passangers, are there really some side impact or something or another air bags back there (making 8 total airbags in the car)? or is it referreing to the same front overhead airbags that perhaps also protect rear pasangers?

Yes, it really does have side curtain airbags for rear passengers. I don't know if it's separate from the ones for the front passengers, or if it's just one giant airbag that encompasses both the front and rear parts of the cabin, but yes the rear passengers are protected!
