Are the OBD I and OBD II 2.0 airboxes the same? Would one from a 98 Golf fit my 93 Golf? Thanks

My bf is modding an airbox from a 98 Golf and just put in a K&N a week ago. A cone filter may be in the way future though...
Re: Airboxes (Juicejetta3)

Hey Juice...how much difference did the cone really make?? I know by puttin one on that I'm not gonna get huge hp increases but I really just want some more motor noise. Will it really do it?

Re: Airboxes (blackgolf2.0)

I have the the neuspeed P-flow . . . a little more noise. But I am thinking about modding my airbox so that it will hold the p-flow filter, but then I can get constant cold air, and ram air

What filter are you using? Where can I get it? I would rather have a K&N that is why I didn't go for the eurosport intake. But now it really doesn't matter. Because right now I am modding my airbox to hold an aftermarkey filter, that way I will run air ducts to my scoops so that I have constant cold ram air.

Re: Airboxes (Juicejetta3)

Just installed an ABD Quick-Flo and it made a difference in both sound and performance. Nothing major on the performance end but I can tell that it's smoother when shifting between gears. Well worth the effort.
