I just got a 2006 Jetta 2.5

Is it ok to use Aisin T-IV fluid ?

I plan to drop the pan and change the filter

Do you have some extra Aisin fluid around? cuz if not, why not just buy the correct fluid? I believe Valvoline MaxLife ATF works for just about everything and 1 gallon is only $20 at Walmart.

Double check your required fluid type and match it against the specs on the bottle to be sure.

Well, its an Aisin transmission, and it calls for T-IV fluid, so I believe it checks all the boxes
