Always discover new features...

As I was sitting in Passat waiting for my wife, I took the manual out under steering wheel. I had never read the quick guide so much. And I read it, look at it... and what a wonder!!!
Just before, I thought that the trunk open button on the blade key was not set to work by the dealer because when I pressed that button, the trunk didn't open.
On the quick guide, I found the answer. We can choose the mode to close the trunk by ourselves (dealer-free), by switching the key hole in different positions. Try it if you have never put the key into the key hole on the trunk lid. Now I can lock the trunk each time I close the trunk, and press the trunk open button for a few seconds and the trunk is unlocked, independent to the other doors.

That's a safety feature. You have to hold the button down for a few seconds for it to open. They don't want you to accidently hit the button and pop the trunk while driving...

Actually, the buttons on the remote don't work when the car is running (an other safety feature).
