Am I suppose to be able to unlock my car with the remote with a turbo timer?

ok, i got a HUD boost gauge and turbo timer. Got it installed yesterday. i found while the turbo timer is on its phase of count down, I can't unlock the door with the remote (aka- keyless entry/lock).
does this happen to u guys with turbo timers? or does this only apply to ppl with the Defi HUD system? or is my tuning shop lying to me by saying its impossible since its ECU controlled, or smthg?
i mean, what's the point of getting a turbo timer when you have to wait for the countdown/ turbo cooldown before you can leave?
any help would be appreciated.

Its all the turbo timers, on all the cars. there are directions for doing it on 00s and 01s, but they are not compatible for 02s, I am waiting for someone to get me the wirign diagrams for an 02 so i can figure it out

I installed a GReddy turbo timer in my jetta and also noticed that the remote locking system would not work when the timer was on. The only way I can lock the car is by using the key to lock it manually. I don't think this sets the alarm however because the red, blinking light does not come on when I manually lock the car.

If you wire in a relay as per this url below, you CAN set your alarm..

However, as Chris says, this wiring doesnt match up for the '02 VW cars--- I'll try to get the wiring info to Chris soon so we can add/update the How To.. later!
