1st of all Hello! Obviously I'm new here, but I've been spying on all
the forums for about 3 months now (testing the water so to speak).
With all due respect to the A3 guys, the A1 & A2 forums are the ones
I go to 1st. I love my A3 (slow & fat it may be) but the earlier cars
appeal to me. Would've bought one but I needed 1 car to do many
things(reliable,comfortable enough for the wife & 2 kids, low payments
& still be fun to drive). Also, with all the other bills I have there's no $
left to do any real modifying. But, I've a plan in the works, The A3 will
be payed off next year, I could sell it ,

Buy an A2, & have enough
$ to Modify it. Heck I could find a nice A1 too

. So I'll be hangin

Seems like car payments for the A3 are enough you could just keep setting aside those payments for fixing up an A2, and have both! Then you could grab an A1, collect the whole set!

welcome! i was an A2. then i went to A3 i had a 98 gti. loved it. and its gone bye bye now. so i went back to the A2 world and got a 87 gti 16v. i love it the same. although i miss my A3. i think ill grow to love my A2 even more again.

Good point! I'll have to use that when I explain to the wife how I can
now afford 3 cars

BTW I was gonna do that ttt thing but it seemed
kinda desperate. Ya know, for the longest time, I thought when some-
one posted ttt, they were just throwing in random plugs for Techtonics
Tuning....

I share the same feeling....I've been eyeing up a few MKII's that I am considering buying...would love to get my hands on a nice...unviolated MKII GTi. The few that I have looked at so far have been pretty much beat into the ground or just plain old neglected.....the search continues...
