I've been reading posts about bonehead drivers. This afternoon, I saw a truly memorable example. I nominate the jerk in the white coupe.
I'm waiting at a light. Those familiar with Seattle, it was the 45th St exit of I-5 Southbound. There are three lanes: left only, straight or left, and straight or right. People in the right lane squeeze over to make room for people to turn left. So, there are essentially four lanes of traffic. It's the afternoon rush, so the light is a long one.
The driver of the white coupe is in the left most lane waiting at the light, to make a left turn. He gets impatient. He suddenly pulls out making a right turn, across three lanes of traffic. He drives a block and pulls a u-turn. He races back. The light turns. He runs the red light, flipping the bird as he barrels through the intersection. He's just committed three moving violations and he is in the same place he would have been if he had waited for the light to turn and take his left. There was no cop to collect on his trifecta.
