Any advice to fight photo radar?

Well it finally happened. Almost one year to the day of getting my photo radar ticket I got a letter in the mail today with my court date set. I was hoping they had forgotten about me! But in any case, March 13th is the date (a date I am definately going to have changed, I'm going to be as annoying as I can).
Does anyone have any advice for fighting these damned things? I've heard the student plee typically works for the cost of the ticket. There's no points so no worries there. I'm also thinking about bringing up the idea of maintainance records. Any fellow Vancouverites have any ideas about this? I know you hated it as much as I did! Thank god it's finally gone.....one good thing the Liberals did at least.

i got one back in last march, $173 one, they tried to serve it but my parents told em i wasn't home, they didn't try again... then they banned photo radar, haven't heard from em since, renewed my insurance without a problem...

I thought with the new BC gov't photo radar didn't exist anymore

well if the camra is in the lights on the intersections like they are in FL. just take a gun and blow the thing to hell thats what my friend did and they put a regular one back up and that was the end of that lol

In the big intersection in Hartford, Connecticut you see a lot of camera hanging down from the poles. But I never heard of anyone getting busted by one of those things. And I know where I live which is the next town over in the center of town they have those radar gun things that detect your speed on the poles, because when I drive by with the radar detector hooked up they go crazy and a constant beep.

Pretty funny huh......you should do some homework. It will scare you, make you not want to come out......US government is no joke.
