I planned to go to him for the work, but he isn't responding to IMs.
Anyone have his phone number?
I'm willing to work with anyone certified, I just need the person's
contact information.

What a shame, not certified but have done installs for 7 years...
Theres more money doing it on the side... Hehe

Re: Any Audio installers out there? (BOOOGHAR)

No just a nice removeable false floor with an amp mount that fits
under the stock trunk cover.
JL's solution is to use foam offset blocks to raise the trunk floor.
I find this cheap and effective, but highly inelegant.

A proper false floor will allow me to mount the amp inside it and
leave room for future expansion when the time comes to remove
the monsoon altogether.

I don't know where you folks got the idea that I
wanted fiberglass anywhere near my car. meh.
Looks like I'll be paying a local shop too much to
get this done. Oh well.

Well you said elegant, unless your just looking for MDF panels, covered in carpet...
Which you could easily do yourself

*spelling sucks*

That IS all I'm looking for. I could do it myself if I had the time, tools, and
workspace (which I don't). I don't even need it covered in carpet, I need it
to fit properly under the stock trunk cover.
I said I wanted something more elegant than just foam offset blocks, not
necessarily something show-worthy.
You seem awfully interested, why don't you send me your estimate for this
install via IM. Maybe I can relax my requirements in order to get this done
in a timely manner.

Probably quicker than I could get to it

If I were to do it, I wouldn't charge ya more than a 6 pack and the MDF
Only problem is I wouldn't be able to take a look at it till next Sunday.
I still got stuff to look up for Fugitiv ;(
