I am just wondering what easy to do mods i can look for that would get my 174hp engine around 200hp ? I was thinking of a Q-chip and a K&N filter ? does anyone know any other small mods like that i can make ?? http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

getting a chip is the most power producing for the price of any upgrade that you could do to your car. unless you want to throw a huge shot of NOS or a gigantic turbo.

a set of 268 cams would do it but thats a medium sized mod
get tt 2.5 exhaust, k&n, and a giac chip but remember your 175 hp is at the fly wheel so if u want 200 at the wheels its gonna take alot more than these mods

whats the difference between Hp at the fly wheel and hp at the wheels ? Oh and one more thing, I was thinking of getting a chip first, right now i use north american gas so thats around 93octane if i get the chip would that mean i have to move up ??

I run 93 octane on my GIAC chip and Shrick 268 cams. So you'll be fine. I also recommend the http://www.GIACUSA.com Chip. Leave the exhaust the stock size and get a straight through or free'er flowing mffler. Don't buy an intake with out a Heat shield. With out cams 200 at the crank would be tough. At the wheels is measured after all the drivetrain loss which I hear is around 14%
