On an 2006 vw jetta 2.0
What would cause the intake Manifold to melt a hole in it I change all spark plugs and Coil packs and replace the Manifold and it melted in the same spot again can anyone can help know why please

That was recalled in 2019 take to a dealer

Obviously heat is the issue. I would post your concern on the right forum. This is Mk1 and there is no factory plastic on our engines. Well......maybe the newest Cabriolets.

2006 Jetta is an Mark 5 or 5th gen Jetta fwiw.
The gens can be confusing.
