Any interest in my H&R Cup Kit?

490 Views 10 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  VWGuy
I'm thinking of moving up to coilovers, and therefore wouldn't have too much need for my H&R Cup Kit.
It's been on my car since September 2000 (just over a year) and as far as I know, is in mint shape.
Mine was one of the first cars in Canada to be fitted with the kit, and I purchased it from Evolution Sports, so it came with new strut bearings and bumpstops and such.
After currency conversion, duty charges and what not, I paid $1200CDN for the kit. I'd probably be looking for about $650CDN for it.
If there's any interest, just let me know!

Hey Jordan,
I can't afford this obviously but was wondering...how is this different than a coilover? I actually thought that's what you had. What's the min. and max. ride height on your setup vs. a coilover setup? What I mean is...how low can you go and how high can you go, if that is an option on either setup.
Anyways, free bump dude!

Hey guys, just so it's clear, this is for a Mk3, not a Mk4. Sorry dudes...I'm sure Jordan will chime in here shortly.
Re: Any interest in my H&R Cup Kit? (Red Baron Golf)

Damn, those wre sold if they were for an mk4
Re: Any interest in my H&R Cup Kit? (s8tan)

how low of a drop on those?
Re: Any interest in my H&R Cup Kit? (drag16v)

When the kit settles on your MkIII, the drop should be a little less than 3" in the front and a little more than 2" in the back...
That is, if it is an H&R 60/40 Cup Kit.
Also, you should clarify that it is for an MkIII, and that you can adjust the dampening level on the shocks...
Re: Any interest in my H&R Cup Kit? (JettaMkIII)

how does this compare to the eiback sportline xtreme springs? mine has a 2" drop on the front and 1.8" on the back. the back, to me, looks perfect, but the front seems to sit too high. i have my springs setup with koni yellows.
is the H&R solution superior? cuz for $650 that's a steal.

Sorry, I've been away all weekend...

The kit is for MK3 VR6 ONLY.
The kit IS NOT adjustable for height or dampening. This kit was developed for those who want the handling of a coilover setup, but not the adjustability.
Drop is 2.5" in front, 1.75" in back.
