You mean intercoolers, or are they now making A/C upgrades or something?

Yes, I mean intercoolers

No such thing as an innercooler (clue: you're mis-spelling it.) As far as intercoolers, there's a few companies making them. And so far all the FMIC's run in the $900 range that I've seen.

ATP has a kit. Other than that, you can do your own custom job for less but it's a lot of work. Forge (through Matrix here in the U.S.) is going to be releasing a bigger SMIC and Forced Performance already has one available.
Unless you're getting a T3, APR Stage III, or something in that league or bigger, you don't really need a FMIC. A bigger SMIC will help a lot an be fine for a chipped K03/K04.

Give me break, I guess I typed it phonetically, I'm from Texas...

So anyway, I know about all the 'commercially' available inTercooler options like ATP, Forge, FP...etc. But there have been more than one Vortexer here saying they might have something in the making... more reasonably priced. That is what I'm refering to. I guess, they will know when they read this, that is, if they can unnerstand my hick a**.

Well, I know everyone would have liked to spent less (if you already went and bought a FMIC) but let's look at the cost of the thing. First of all is the development. While not impossible, still takes time and know-how to design the sytem to take advantage of available space and mounting points. Second, machinery is needed or contacts in manufacturing industry to get mandrel bent piping made to the designers spec. By spec I mean material, ID and OD of the piping, not to mention the cost of a good intercooler core - which for a good quality one takes time to make. I think that the size of the ATP FMIC was worth the price I paid and the SMIC for only chipped cars will most likely provide enough flow/cooling. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

MDMKIVGTI - Hey thanks for setting up the GB w/ ATP, I'm still talking w/ Micheal @ Enten Racing through e-mail, I'm on the GB list $900 shipped, but have been a little reluctant here at the last minute. did you get yours yet? installed?

Oh, I searched and found the guys who may have had FMICs in the works:
1. Sebz1.8t?
2. Dubbin1.8?
3. Bug_Power?

FYI, I think the Forge FMIC will be reasonably priced. I can tell you that you will not get the same quality IC from Joe Blow making them out of his garage. Price is not everything....

I know that
but I have faith in some people...
I'll probably go ahead and order the ATP Spearco; there's no tellin when there'll be a kit as nice for cheaper
