What is a "window deflector"? I guess it deflects windows as they are coming at you???

they r the plastic cover that cover the top edge of ur front windows

I saw a silver gti on the highway recently with them install, I tried to get a close look but he got off at the next exit. It didn't look bad from a distnace..
