Anybody else like seeing local for sale posts in here????

I've been away from the forum for a while and I sense a bit of a change.
I don't see the problem with posting for sale threads in the PNW forum. I for one appreciate knowing about local stuff for sale. Most of the posts in here are complete immature BS anyway...certainly not as legit as a FS post.

I totally agree with you. But the VORTEX rules state there will be no commercialism in the posts unless it's in the classifieds. If I was trying to sell something, I'd prefer it be local anyways. That way I wouldn't have to pay for a but load of shipping to somewhere like NY, or Florida. But, since this is the Events & Gatherings PNW forum, we're all supposed to follow it as that. They should probably change the forums around a bit, but everything costs money, and they aren't charging us to use these forums YET?

If you really want this, take it to the suggestion box. But to be honest, it's not going to happen. So you might has well save yourself the time and let it go.

I think it's fine as long as they don't bump it every ten minutes for 2 days then complain that no one is interested.
Other than that it makes sense. There aren't that many of them anyway.

ya cant have it the way ya want it because weather or not you like it, theyll get there money, and save the cash it would take to change stuff

Yeah as you can see a thread I posted about selling my wheels got locked. But at the same time people can post WTB's with no problem, whats the difference ?? Some guy wants to buy a cam in Seattle and I want to sell my rims in Seattle, its never been like this before, whats up with D anyways is he on prohbation or something, he has to have the mod from a different forum come and mod his forum ?? If you look at any other forums board like dtmpower, bimmerforums,clubsi,etc it makes the vortex look like the virgin mary, but go ahead lock this thread delete it ban me whatever but this topic is like a bad hemeroid........... its bound to flare back up again.

My feelings exactly. The one thing no one complained about on this forum was the FS/WTB posts. I personally look for them, as I'm the 'casual' modder, doing things only when they're convenient. Dealing locally is a huge benefit, and it's just easier to only read one forum with infrequent FS posts instead of wading through the classifieds, especially when I'm not really looking for anything specific.
In the end, the moderators are volunteering their time to keep the forums 'clean' and 'by the rules'. I commend them for that, but getting super strict about things we actually want to have here is a bit overboard.
I just hope that this mess goes away and everything is back to normal, including the occasional FS post.
