Sounds like you have a dead battery to me. The starter clicks when it doesn't have enough juice to turn the motor over, and your alarm goes off cause it thinks the car is being stolen. Get a jump from somebody (or an Optima ).

I agree with pumpkin02, it's the battery. I had the same problem, minus the alarm going off. Buy a new battery and if that's not it, post back here for more help

Thanks, pumpkin. Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. We tried to jump it, though, and it didn't take. I don't think we did it wrong...

You could always just replace the whole system. If you tried to jump it and it wouldn't work, then I would think it's the starter. It sounds like it's getting some juice, but it won't catch. Have you tried rolling it to get it started? If it works and it continues running, then it probably isn't the alternator or the battery.
Maybe try to get it to an alternator shop for a free test???

Mine's an AT, so no rolling for me.
Now there's the REAL question: do I put in the battery myself? Haha, yeah right.

Bring your battery to Pep Boys.
They will test it for free.
Then when they tell you it's dead buy an Optima
