how much work is involved? i have a replacement in my shed waiting for a day i feel adventurous.
vw sunroofs are pieces of shiet. shoulda just put a manual joint in there instead.

The guides (the part that slides it back and in) are broken.
But I bought an entire sunroof assembly so I guess I'll replace the whole thing.

The process is time intensive. give your self at least 6 to 8 hours to do it right. I had to replace mine and i did not have too many problems removing and installing, it was the tweaking and careful work that made it longer than it should have been. Dont get frustrated b/c it will make it go that much slower.

to be honest if u have no clue about sunfoors yes 6-8 hours makes sence....all u do is drp the roof panel unscrew the bolts and pull it out form the hatch of the car....to change the guides when it is out is no prob but if u have anew one just replace it shopuld not take more then 2 and half hours to replace thast provided you have some idea but it is fairly straight forward..to align the sun roof flush to the roof of the car get one person to hold in place and then screw the reataining bolts in

awesome. thanks. no weird tools or nothing right? just the basic crap?
