I'm trying to find a few people in BC to discuss VW's in gen. I'm looking for connections, advice and a few parts. I assume the more people you know the better it is. Basically I'm looking for a few new friends. There's not too many 30 year old guys out there interested in VW's.
I'm also looking for someone who would like to or knows of someone who wants to sell their 14/15" mag wheels, either stock or aftermarket. I'm also looking for a few parts from an 80-84 rabbit gti, or cabrio, or a2 golf. I need panels, center console, tailights, seats, trunk carpet, etc...
I live in Campbell River, but make it to Vic often. E-mail or simply reply. Frank

Ah, that was you on vic.buysell..
I think there's only two of us from Victoria on the Mk.IV forum. Me (33 yr) and JetBlackJetta (I think that's his nick).
There is a Victoria msg board (think I deleted the URL) that seems to be mostly UVic people and others of the same age.
There are many, many guys from the Lower Mainland on this forum.

That's me, yes. I'm finding it hard to meet new guys from the Island. I'm looking for new friends to get in touch with. Also, I'm still looking for wheels. Is there a place in Vic. that might sell used mag wheel sets, much like Volco in Van? I tried all the VW's dealerships, Bow Wow, Tire shops, Buy & Sell, etc...
some where interested, but didn't show up or call. Figures

. I am also looking for an 79-84 rabbit or gti to buy as a second car. I would appreciate any help, advice. Frank

hey, i just finished University in Victoria. While attending UVic I started the VW Club over there. It is now being run buy some other dudes! Check it out!

Hey David,
Your profile says "Chemist"... where you working? I got my BSc in Chem at UVic in '92. I worked in Van for a while at Chemex, Diachem, TRIUMF and Forintek now I'm back in Victoria.

Hey F1 Fan, I just finished at UVic this spring. I have worked at Quest (Vancouver), West Coast Energy (prince George), Raylo (edmonton), AnorMED (langley) and Merck Frosst (Montreal)
I am now working at INEX Pharmaceuticals <http://www.inexpharm.com> as a Process Development Associate.

I didn't know there was a vw club there! I finished there 3 years ago now. Did you have a member who had a light purple corrado with oz wheels and a full zender (I think) body kit and wing? Totally sweet car... every time I pulled in the lot by the bookstore he was there...

rockin16v (paul) is from Victoria, and there is another girl Margie too, but I'm not sure if she's on here.

Hi, I'm from Vancouver B.C. My friend next door shares the same interest in VW's as we do. Both of us are interested in getting to know more people in the VW community. Have you tried looking for rabbit or golf parts at Ralph's Auto wrecking at Michell Island here in Vancouver? The last time I was there they had as many as 30 plus Vw's in the yard. Check it out , you might find what your looking for although the prices for the parts are a little high. I guess this depends on the guy you're dealing with at the counter. Good luck on the parts treasure hunt.

Did you buy the corrado rims form us on saturday? I'm affraid we don't have the tires you want, about the spolier though I might have a lead for you, I'll get back to you on wednesday about that.

VWGOD: How did you know they were corrodo wheels? Ya, I did buy some but at VW downtown Vic. I did phone Malahat Auto, but some guy said you guys didn't have any 15's at all. Sounds wierd???
Do you have a nice 83/84 rabbit gti car that I could buy parts from? I need lots of items.

i'm moving back to Victoria on the 14th of december, after an 8-month co-op workterm in Vancouver.
i can't wait to get back to Victoria. although, going back to school isn't going to be that great!

I saw you come to pick up the rims we were doing inventory at the time, what do you need for your gti we have some used parts, some good stuff but I need to know what you want, just give me a list. I find out about the spolier for you too.

VWGOD: Right on. I guess you work at VW in Vic. I thought you worked at Malahat. Anyway my list is semi big.
-I'm looking for a Continental CV-- to match the one on one of the rims. If not 2 used 195/50/15's (s)??
-door panels from gti 83/84
-sunroof inside liner
-tailights
-trunk carpet
-center guage cosole with vdo guages
-seats (jetta, golf, gti) A1 or A2
-golf ball shifter
-square plastic pieces for the grill (around the fnt lights)
