Anyone had an experience w/ warrantying Bilsteins?

I was wondering if anyone on here has warrantied/ tried to warranty Bilsteins that have gone bad. Mine are fine as of now, I'm just curious to see how difficult it is should I ever need to.

my friend just did. he had to buy the new ones and find his receipt and then they re-imbursed him.
