Ok,
there are a ton of forums I could post this in, so I'll pick something more general, like this forum, and maybe reach people who don't read the classifieds.
Anyone have a spare (I don't care if it ticks) 100 mm passenger side cv axle laying around, that they want to sell? I don't really want to drop the $$$ on a new one, just to drive my car around the yard.

Why don't you go to the junkyard and pick up a set for 20 bux?

would 16v gti axles fit? Or am I totally wrong?
Dubs in the junkyards around here-
'82 rabbit vert, 80mm axles
'88 gti 16v
a couple 8v jettas, mk2
that's it. MK2 axles won't work, will they?
