Just wondering how the performance and sound is on an AEM cold air intake. Anyone recorded sound difference??? This is a mod that I most definitly doing, just want to see what's down the road.
Thanks in advance!
Re: Anyone have AEM cold air intake on a MK 4 VR6? (Rainy Crane)
installed mine with the help of a friend last wednesday. I have nothing but praise for it, and I have run both stock (7000 miles) and cool-flo (8000 miles). AEM has a slightly quieter sound than the cool-flo but much louder than stock. I've even gotten it to 'whistle' briefly at the right rpm and throttle on the highway
. It feels great...no more bogging around corners, very torquey at low end and more power up top. If you have any questions, search for my post in the mk4 forum. IM me (I wont be checking my email for at least another week, I'm on vacation).
