Has anyone tried out these Tornado devices?
http://www.tornadoair.com/installins.htm
I watched the infomercial one late-late night and it had me curious. They scientifically showed the increase in air flow by using several demonstrations. The installation is very very simple. The advertised price is what kept me away though, 3 payment of $24.99 American.... Ouch, looks as though it uses a dollar's worth of materials.
Newayz... has anyone tried these things out yet,? If the price drops I may.

Memolo is a tool. Come to think of it, they're BOTH tools. It can't be worth a shizzit. http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif

Re: Anyone have experience using.... (1badMKIrocco)

So I'm assuming that everyone in this thread with an opinion has watched the infomercial and has an understanding of how it works or even known someone who used the product? I don't see how it could be labelled as flat out garbage unless someone has tried it? It does increase air flow (by how much who knows?). Please do not reply if you have a deep hatered for as seen on TV products (most products from as seen on TV are usefull... expensive... but usefull).
Just curious, aren't others?

it takes a much greater powered fan to create boost which is what this is trying to tell you it does. an axial fan like that cannot even overcome its own drag in the intake tract in this sort of application. If it worked for real dont you think it would be everywhere? If you really want it buy it. I guarantee we'll all laugh at you when you open the hood to show off your thupercharger.
Ive got a bridge to sell you...

Oops, my mistake. I weas thinking that this was the fan driven one but this is the even less appealing. Yeah I'm going to stick a metal airdam in my intake tract. also junk. If this idea worked do you not think that some automotive engineer would have included vanes in their intake? I do...
its your money though...

I had to take mine out. It was so annoying having to stop every hundred miles to drain the fuel tank, it kept overflowing with all the fuel saving devices I have on the engine

I don't know about everyone else but I wouldn't spend a 100 bucks American for a tin fan. If anything a DIY idea. But is it worth it? Who knows I guess. Just wanted to be sure it wasn't some techinical miracle overlooked by VW developers that translates into acctual HP.

My favorite tech tip from Shade Tree Mechanic:
"to prevent scratches, put a blanket down before you lay parts on the floor."
