So I'm starting my turbocharger project and I stumbled upon a brand new roto-masters turbo in my garage. I looked into the matter a little and found out rotomaster was purchased by garret a while back. So heres my question- how do I find out what the specs are for this turbo? the A/R is 60 if that help's, the compressor and the turbine seem to be about the same size. I don't really understand what seperates a t3 from a t4 other than that the t4 is bigger. BTW- does the t in t4 stand for turbonetics?

Re: anyone heard of roto-masters? (GTTechnics)

No, the T in T3 or T4 does not stand for turbonetics, look inside the exhaust housing, should have a number in there. also, what kinda flange does it have? a rectangular one or square one? measure the turbine wheel as well, post everything here.

In the exhaust housing theres the number .58 and the flange is square at the inlet and round at the outlet. The turbine wheel is about 2.25"across. Thanks for your help. Anything else you need?

Damn, and I thought I was made in the shade there for a minute
So I can use the turbo but I should change parts of it? Any hints on what this would include and how much it would cost me? I plan on running 7 psi and want to eventually work up to 14lbs. BTW- can a floating bearing turbo be converted into a ball bearing turbo? Also, I thought I might add that this turbo was originally purchased as part of a turbo kit for older bmw 2.8-3.3 liter engines, so it suprises me a little that it's too small ( here I was thinking it was going to be too big). Thanks for responding to all my newbie question's...
