Anyone interested in starting an Atlanta weekend GTG?

I know Eurotech has their Thursday night GTG but i know that myself and i assume many others have a hard time attending because of work and rush hour traffic. What do you guys think about starting a GTG maybe once a month on a weekend? But when i say Atlanta GTG, i do not mean Commerce, GA!

There is one in the plans for early July

or you could come down to Moreland on Saturday nights around 12:30, there is already a decent group that goes down there pretty often...

I've been trying to get some ideas from people on what they'd be interested in doing for a GTG...
some ideas we've talked about:
- picnic/potluck lunch @ a local park, cruise/pics/etc before/after
- photo shoot around atlanta (moving shots?)
- bbq @ someone's house/local park

i will attend anything that is put together...I just need to know a week ahead of time so i can get my schedule worked out at my job. I am definatly up for more get together then the once a year things.

You know I'd be down, and as Felix ( 98JettaGT ) stated it would be cool if we could do a park-picnic GTG at a local place.
We need suggestions to get us started!
And I dont think Moreland Ave is a good place to meet up @ midnight .

The 22nd, huh? I think I have to help my mom with a fund raiser she's having that night. Dang gummit! So unless we go to like a AM showing, no can go.

i live in the durty south and i roll durty on I-85 and my dub is durty cause i dont wash it. Can i be in your durty club? purty durty please?

I'm up for something other than eurotech and msp . . . and maybe a bit closer to downtown atl.

i am going to do photos this weekend on the way up to the jamboree @ commerce!!! I have a SLR and it should be pretty nice this weekend!!! so let me know!! if you wanna do any other shoots let me know!! i know where there are some pretty nice roads to take pics on

Count me in for the show...not sure about the movie. Alot of us dubbers see and communicate with each other every other day (including weekends) anyway...that's one of the reasons I like Atlanta so much. Good VW population! Because of that I forget that we need GTGs since I hang and live with the Eurotech/ southernVolks crew. There should be more organized functions...we are due for another Speed Lab GTG, aren't we?
I hope none of you are going to see Minority Report for that Lexus that's in it!

130_R, you should have seen the carnage at the PRO-IT start last weekend, half the field didnt even make it TO turn one after taking the green. I got some great in car video that i'm trying to upload to my webpage.
loopsnew, I have a full understanding/acceptance of the thought processes that resulted in a durty dub club. It is the unfortunate mindset (of which I am a victim)that results from too much down south rap combined with a strong desire to "stun". I'm sorry, your warnings will go unheeded

Jeff, load those IT vids up so we can see them. Also, I like the idea of having GTG's in varying places to accomodate everyone, and their schedules.
