Re: Anyone know a price range on the 2002 GTI?? (-=VdubGuY=-)
I think the price will be arounf $24k.
You've got a point about waiting though. Considering that the V6 only has a 15 degree offset, those 24 valves will be very tight. I'd like to ensure that this is a reliable cylinder head.
Having just come from a Spirit R/T with the unreliable lotus head / 224 HP, I'm just a little concerned about these things. The bare head in that car cost $4,000, and seemed to occasionally crack due to the location of the coolant core plugs. Although VW builds better engines than Lotus, only god knows how they'll fit things in this new head.
