Anyone know anything about EIP tuning?

I just found out today after searching for turbo systems for my 2.0L 98 Jetta that their company is just around 1 hour away from me! This makes me happy and I was wondering if anyone has ever dealt with them. I might go down there this friday and see what they can do for my baby. Thanks!

They are a good company IMO but some people say that they don't do a good job. But then again, it's cuz after they get their turbo on, something breaks. I kinda think that they are blaming EIP for their car breaking when it's just a simple matter of the part that broke couldn't handle all the power! Can't go wrong with a company that has the fastest VR6 can you?

As far as going. Well Lets just say its nice. The guys were helpful but $$$$ and thats what its all about! but its cool to go see it and hang

is there a faster one? if so, my bad, I didn't know. But then again, I would have thought a car with 700 hp would run faster than an 11.1...so maybe there is a faster VR6 out there. I would hope so! if not, we're all doomed!

from what i've been told, they are in the process of removing or reconfiguring the 4wd cuz the syncro couldn't take the power. and that was after decreasing the boost to the mid 20s.

They didnt seem to helpful with me when i inquired about there VR6 turbo kits.
So I sent my money west to ATP.
I know of an eip turbo VR6 running around here and it runs perfectly even in the cold winter. So they do make quality kits and i am sure they can install them on the cars no problem seeing that they mess with the stuff everyday.

Had my cam gear tuned at eip, They were by no means acting like my best friend but on the other hand they were not but heads. But who cares they are one of the best vw tunners in the usa and my car left making more hp...

......That company is a total joke. They are thieves, crooks, criminals, con-artists, and a bunch of other things I could probably come up with. I will not elaborate right now..(but stay tuned very soon)...they totally f$#%d me and a few other hundred people that I know of. I've already contacted the Atty. Gen. and my credit card company about my situation. Stay tuned for a semi book to be written on EIP by me. Its about half way done now. I will also make a website out of my experience too. All I have to say it that J.J. Darrell and Rich are very, very lucky I dont live on the East Coast....if I did..I'd be writing this in the form of a letter and not an internet post. I'd also be wearing an orange jump suit, have one visitor a day, eat mush for dinner, and would not be able to drive a VW for about twenty to life......

i've heard about their troubles with customer service, and I will be buying my 8v turbo kit from ATP, but my second choice would be eip ... and like was said few back ... "how else can you go wrong with the company that has the fastest vr6?" I agree .... good company if you can afford it

on our vw vortex go to search eip tuning reviews this is my opinion on eip and same from lots of others they suck and they [email protected]#$d me over once they chargered me they sent the wrong parts like 10 times their chips cause problems and it took 2 and a half months to recieve the parts in the first place now if your looking for a quality kit a few people I know only give praise to ATP (www.vwturbo.com)

WHAT????
I drove down there from Canada (700miles) just so I can be treated like poop. They called me and said that my turbo kit was ready. I told them that I would come on the weekend to pick it up! After driving for countless hours, I got there and they said that it wasn't ready because they were expecting me on Monday! I had to return home since I had to go to work. They would not refund my deposit, or do nothing to help me. They gave me a bunch of parts and mailed me the rest months later. I'm still waiting for a pipe. It's been about a year since I ordered the kit!

there is so much dirt on these guys that I can honestly say they are the worst business thats ever been.
Those of you saying youve been treated good - I believe you - but your just lucky and thats all! Theyve done so much shady isht that if you do enough business with them you will be screwed eventually.

Before you comment like that. You should read the archives of the GTI-VR6 list. There are several complaints archived with possibly the worst being a guys Corrado that sat in their shop for over a year after he had paid over $20k for a VR6 turbo. The guy finally had to get a lawyer to get his car back, and it never did get finished.
