anyone using a P&P head?

I'd like to hear from people that have a polished and ported 8v head.
Here are my questions:
1. Did you buy the head new?
2. Where did you get it from?
3. How much did you spend on it?

I'm thinking about make my ABA swap into a real monster. I currently have a JH block, solid head wait a g grind, ported intake manifold with a a2 throttle body, 4-2 manifold, dual down pipe, test pipe and tt catback system witha dynomax muffler

You probably know this but I do all my own and for other people too. See my site and the "On the Bench" page for some info and pics.

Thanks for the information. I'm not trying to build a race engine, I'm looking into all the ways I can get long term power out of my ABA swap. Do you have any "before and after" flow information?

If you have a well ported 8v head I woild suggest a bigger cam then the G-grind which is relatively mild. The power difference between a G and say Schrick 280 assym. is around 15-20hp with the G peaking around 5500 and the Schrick around 7000rpm which is great in the ABA since it has a rod ratio of 1.71:1.
