Re: Anyone w/ B&M short shifter? know anything about it (02'jetta)
Search this forum and the Golf/Jetta IV forum. There was a post in there a while back with excellent pics of the B&M installed.
The B&M and the Autotech/Diesel Geeks are both short shifters but at the same time totally different products. The B&M replaces the actually shifter in the car with a shorter one that changes the shift linkage points inside the car. The Autotech/diesel geek are the exact oposite. They replace the shifter under the hood that directly connected to the tranny.
Here's a picture of both.

It's of higher quality, it's all billet aluminum and stainless steel. Very good, I've been using it for a few weeks now. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Does it make the shifting more smooth and less rubbery? I heard that you can change stock bushings to poly or even metal to get rid of the rubbery feel when going into the gate. what do ya think?
