I was going through some of my digital picts and noticed the placement of the lift arms. neither one is where I would have placed them. The passenger side looks to be on my fuel lines. You guys think the placement of this arms would have caused any damage?
ouch... i would say that's not quite right either...
not easy to see into the shadows, but it doesn't look like it touched your fuel lines. you'd have to visually inspect them to make sure though...
Chris this is your caddy in this pic?? That is not a very good place to put the lift arms at all. I would look at the fuel lines very carefully for any damage.
yeah that's my baby getting abused.
I didn't even notice it when I snapped the picts. Guys that run these shops just slide those things under and don't even take the time to put it on the nubs. I am going to put big arrows and labels under there!
I haven't noticed any puddles but, if the line is slightly pinched it may be cutting down on my fuel pressure. grr!
That's the TT race downpipe. I need to find a sway bar, the H&H hits so I took it off.
Well, I am going to shoot this pict off to the owner of the shop and give him a call in the morning.
that second angle shows it DEAD ON THE LINES.
even if they don't look pinched or aren't leaking i'd take the truck and the pics in so they can replaced them...
that is sooo not cool....
well, if they are pinched, it may help explain why I ran lean above 4700 on the dyno this past weekend, even with the TT fuel enrichment.....maybe I am grasping for straws looking for an answer on my lean state but pinched lines can't help.
I guess I'll have to to this to keep them from screwing up next time:
LMAO, Can you make that a vinyl decal so i can have one? I had a tire shop put the lift arm on my cabby kit! What kind of lower bar is that? I like it and the color looks cool. Sweet underside too!
Were you under the caddy taking pictures for another reason and when you got home you noticed this...? or did you tell the garage that you wanted to get pictures of their stupidity to cover your ass down the road..??
I was just snapping picts of the underside. It was the first time it was up on a lift since I installed the TT downpipe so I wanted to snap some. But now that you mention it, it seems like I need to do this every time I get my car serviced just so I feel comfortable.
forrestking, that is part of the H&H front setup. The red bar is off because the downpipe sits a bit lower than the stock. Here is the full setup--it looks like they were closer to the lift point this time:
They probably dented the floor doing that. It would have, on the rabbit sedan. On the Caddy you can use the side rails like the factory jack, or the buttons shown.
