Details

The APR Roll-Control Coilover Suspension System is designed to dramatically improve handling while delivering a stylish visual upgrade to your vehicle’s appearance. This is all made possible while retaining a comfortable and exciting daily driving experience expected from a high end system. With this system, you will experience a harmonious balance between the springs, struts/dampers, and bump stops thanks to a careful selection of spring, and damping only possible through the use of non-generic components.

This system is built to last. Unlike bargain systems, we only use premium materials. The struts are made from stainless steel, with anodized aluminum spring seats, allowing years of height adjustment without worry of rust destroying the threads. The springs are made from a high tensile strength chrome silicon which greatly resists sagging. Spring seats feature a locking collar, instead of a set screw, which prevents a common failure. Thick stainless steel stabilizer bar end link mounting tabs are strong and allow adjustment for proper orientation. There’s no worry of end link binding issues, and they will not bend like thin aluminum systems found on even some of the higher end systems. Lastly, each shock and damper is dyno tested for quality assurance. This system delivers the premium quality components and the driving experience you have come to expect from APR.

Would be interesting to see if these are what apr claims they are since there roll control springs were pretty bad false advertising in the ride height drop range.

What's off? Is it not in the range? We list a range (just like everyone else) because it's complete chaos. There are tons of factory springs, factory spring perches, varying wear on those perches and factory springs, etc. Makes giving a solid " this is exactly how much it will drop " spec essentially impossible.

Hey Arin, the range comment was likely based on APR listing the roll control spring drop at 1/2” - 3/4”. Maybe that’s true for an R but guys started buying them for their GTIs thinking they were getting a mild drop, only to find out it was over 1.25” on a GTI. We get there are variables, but that’s basically double...then you factor in labor rates, an alignment etc. It’s a pretty significant endeavor.

Anyway, its totally reasonable to give a range, but at least be within a 1/4” for each application.

I would just go with a company that has been making suspension components for years vs aprs just come to market. After the ride height discrepancies there were with the springs, i personally would not buy the coilovers.
Not that there a bad company, but theres companies like, h&r, bilstien, koni, eibach, kw, etc that have been making suspensions for decades. You can find more info and good deals on those manufactures vs aprs suspension. Ive already seen used sets of roll control springs up for sale already.

Lol all you did was provide links to a couple photos. Wheres the relayed articals. Everytime people ask apr a question you all beat around the bush.
Who manufactured the coilovers in the pics that do work? Were they purchased second hand? New? What links were they using?
Were the links not set right, were they to low?
Did they not maintain them? Why type of conditions and driving style did these see?

Your photos give no definitive answers. Plus your giving mk6 not mk7. People want answers for items for there car not previous versions.
For all we know the bent and rust could of been a one off problem with qc control and were replaced by the manufacturer.

You have not been in the suspension market very long, well notlong at all. Sorry but the way you answer questions, even when people were asking and complaining about the roll control springs, you still never offered any justifiable responses there either.

Get the facts before you respond on the forums anymore.

Is this system compatible with Mk7.5 GTI DSG drive modes (ACC)?

Thanks
