The APR Throttle Booster instantly transforms the way your vehicle feels by customizing how quicky your throttle or accelerator pedal works. Simply plug it in and either use the wireless controller or smart phone app to set or customize how the pedal feels. Most people don't like the way their throttle pedal feels, and while tuning can help eliminate lag, everyone has a different opinion about how it should feel. This device lets you set it exactly the way you want and allows you to quickly switch between profiles. Set it to stock, sport modes, extreme modes, and eco modes with ease. Best of all, it's a quick plug and play device that can be removed at any time.

Features:

  • Improves throttle response and transforms the feel of the vehicle
  • Multiple switchable profiles including various sport modes, eco modes, and custom maps
  • Custom throttle mapping allows you to perfectly tune your throttle pedal
  • Thin and classy wireless controller
  • Bluetooth iOS and Android mobile app
  • No clunky boxes, wires, or controllers like other devices
  • Quick and easy plug-and-play design that is removable without a trace
  • Works on gas, diesel, alternative fuel, and electric vehicles
  • 30-day money back guarantee

Arin,
I am about to pull the trigger on an exhaust and tune with a competitor unless you can give me an idea of when APR's will be available. I really would rather use APR, but am ready to do this soon. If you could give me some sort of timeline, I would really appreciate it. (I reached out to the APR contact page and received the a really vague response)

Thanks,
Jason

Beta is done for 91, 93, 100, 104, and E85. Testing more power on a stage 2, DSG, and have turbo upgrade lined up. Any day no on the Stage 1 release.

Thanks @[email protected]. Previous owner of '17 GTI Autobahn 6-sp.

Drove it for a few years before I learned of the whole tuning-culture. I'll never forget the day I took it down to my APR dealer and did ECU Stage 1. Left the dealer and jumped on a highway on ramp.... with the biggest grin on my face. Night and day difference. Gob smacked.

Just took delivery of my '23 Golf R. Hoping for the same experience.

I don't get it. You're just changing the way the pedal operates in each of those modes. You're not getting any additional power, right, or has this tread evolved into Stage 1 Tuning vs the Throttle Booster?

Tuning adds power. This changes throttle input to your liking.
I completely understand the difference. I don't understand why anyone would want to change the throttle response. Is it that hard to do on your own or are we all getting lazy?

It's a huge improvement in drivability. If you tried one, you'd be sold instantly.

Does APR have a target release date for Stage 1? New Year's, early Q1, something of the like that doesn't box the company in, leaves wiggle room, but offers customers something more concrete? We've all heard the "2 weeks" and "Any day now" refrains from APR for years :)
