Ok, so at least for now, you cannot simply return to the stock program before service - is the flash detectable by the dealer?

Yes and no. The dealer cannot hook up a computer and see something that say 'APR Tuned' or anything like that. All flash counters are set to the way they were before you were flashed. Everything like that is all taken care of. Now, what they can do is drive the car and say 'This is way faster', but that is usually not enough to go on. So, with that said, what they can do is log your requested boost levels while on the road. This would require looking up the specified boost range acceptable from the factory, hooking up their computers, taking it on the street, and logging while doing 3 or 4th gear pulls. If they record boost wildly outside the factory boost levels for a prolonged period, it's pretty save to say they will assume you have an ecu upgrade. The only time I can see this happening is if you go in for a major component failure. Even then though I feel it's pretty rare they would do it and given we do not run our programs aggressive enough to damage major components, I don't believe you need to worry too much.
