a buddy of mine had a 95 obd1 vr6 that was socketed not soldered. I'm not sure what exact month his car was, but i do remember his being a late model 95. mine was built in 6/95 and was soldered

My car was built around 11/94 (too lazy to go look), and I had a socketed chip AND I have textured side moldings

My car had a soldered chip. Build date was 9/95.
Garrett's chip dropped my MPG into high teens for city and mid 20's for highway (that's down about 5 MPG each).

Yup, socketed. Josh down at Matrix was happy he didn't have to do any extra work
Um, I think my mileage went down about 1mpg. There is a very noticeable difference from 4000rpm up too, it pulls very hard for stock. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif Oh well, you've got the charger now, so I'm playing catch up
