Are all leather seats from a Jetta heated ? Was it possible to get them without the heater element ?
If so, how hard would it be to swap the heater unit from a set of cloth seats [ like the one's in our Golf GLS]

In the USA, all cars with leather will have heated seats.
I have heard that trying to do a swap, after the fact, is quite a project. Just get a new car !

All leather seats in the MK4's are heated. The ones in the GLX go one step further, in addition to being heated, there are also power adjustments. But any GLS leather seats will already be heated.
