If there is a distributer then its a series 1.
If there is a coil pack which looks like a box
on the drivers side of the motor then its a 2.
Do you know if your car had a motor swap?
If its a 2 then your car had a swap.

No, ALL Corrados are OBD1 regardless of ignition system. OBD2 came to market in model year 1996.If there is a coil pack which looks like a box
on the drivers side of the motor then its a 2.

I thought all 1's had distributers and
2's had coil packs.
Sorry if I am wrong. I also thought that 95 vr6
motors were all series two.

I know for certain that every VR6 Corrado is OBD1 and I'm pretty sure that all 1995 GTI VR6s are as well. Maybe a few my 1995 cars squaked in with OBD2? I still think the rule of thumb is <1996 = OBD1 and 1996+ = OBD2.

OBD1 and OBD2 has nothing to do with distributor vs coilpack, but refers to the software incorporated to the engine management system. It stands for On Board Diagnostics. This is visually seen in things like the throttle body and hence intake shape at that end.
The OBD2 came into prod at about 1995.5 hence no US and only a hand fill of european vr6's were OBd2.

Simple,Al VR6's up to 1995 are OBD I
All 1996-> VR6's are OBD II
Coilpack and distributor has little to do with this madness.
EGR or Airpump also has little to do with it.
Some VR6's have Dizzy's and EGR,some have Dizzy's and Airpump.
Some VR6's have Coilpack's and EGR,some have Coilpack's and Airpump.
Confusion at its best.
OBD I Dizzy VR6 supposed to be good runner.
OBD II Coilpack supposed to make power and run better(in adapting to mods).
